The ability of students will develop to understand about Japanese architecture and think with an exploration of the environment around the site, such as crowded residential area of Tokyo or typical scene of rural area in Japan.
The project focuses on Japanese houses designed by Japanese architects. The site of student is in front of those houses or around one. Normally students have to find the house and the site by themself. In our case, 6 JP students will choose 6 projects which past 20 years since its built and each construction site of ours. Then SB students make a group to share them. Shin Yokoo will give a lecture about 6 projects, explain Building Standards Law in Japan when the project begin. Beside JP students will give you some information, such as address of building, copy of magazine, photo of location and etc.
Selected students would make exchange presentation of their project through to Skype or something to Japanese students, or Prof., Iwaoka might be able to come to Novi Sad in the beginning of January (until 11th or 12th Jan),

MODERN HOUSE SCENERY 2017
Reconsider the masterpiece house in Japan after the secound world war
There are 3 important issue in this project. First is to select and research the existing house designed by Japanese architect. Second is to investigate the surrounding environment of the location where it is located. Third is to rent a site adjacent to the house and propose a new house. Researching is not only inside the house but also on the surrounding environment where it is located. This is the issue which to find out the context of the city from the house.
